The Beginning
The Workers (SABAH) project was initiated across SAARC countries with financial support from the SAARC Development Fund, focusing on self-employment and empowerment of disadvantaged women.

WHO WE ARE
Empowering Women Through Skills, Opportunity & Enterprise
SABAH Bangladesh was registered as a non-profit organization under the Companies Act on 25 October 2010, with the objective of promoting self-employment and empowerment among disadvantaged women.
With support from the SAARC Development Fund, SABAH Bangladesh began working across Bangladesh to create employment opportunities, strengthen self-reliance and improve the socio-economic conditions of women.
Since its establishment, SABAH has worked with women in 28 districts and has supported members through practical skills training, production opportunities and market linkages.

OUR JOURNEY
A Journey of Empowerment
From a regional initiative in 2009 to an established organization supporting women across Bangladesh, SABAH’s journey has remained rooted in skills, self-reliance and opportunity.
02 — 2010
SABAH Bangladesh Established
SABAH Bangladesh was registered as a non-profit organization under the Companies Act on 25 October 2010.
03 — Expansion
Reaching Women Across Bangladesh
SABAH began working across 28 districts to support women through employment opportunities, self-reliance and skills development.
04 — TFC
Trade Facilitation Center
With SDF support, SABAH established its Trade Facilitation Center in Mirpur, Dhaka, with production, training, accommodation and marketing facilities.
05 — Community Reach
18 Community Facilitation Centers
Community Facilitation Centers were established in different districts to bring training and support closer to women in local communities.
06 — Today
Skills to Livelihoods
Today, SABAH continues to connect skills development with self-employment, production and wider market opportunities.
TRAINING & FACILITATION CENTRE
SABAH Training & Facilitation Centre
SABAH Bangladesh’s Trade Facilitation Centre (TFC) was established in a six-storey building purchased with financial support from the Social Development Foundation (SDF). The centre brings training, production, accommodation and product marketing facilities together under one roof, creating a supportive environment for women to develop skills and connect their work with markets.
